The Right Mattress For Me?

There is a mattress out there for everyone, choosing the right one is up to you.

How do I know what the best mattress is for me?

That’s not the easiest question to ask, but we’ll give you our best recommendation when it comes to choosing the mattress that’s right for you.

  • Are you a back sleeper?
  • Are you a side sleeper?
  • Are you a stomach sleeper?
  • Do even you even sleep?
  • Big or small?
  • Tiny or tall?
  • Okay, we are done – sorry.

These are the fist big questions when it comes to choosing your mattress.

If you are a back sleeper, you want to look for a more firm supportive mattress. Back sleepers require the most support since their spine is exposed to the shape of the mattress and can cause pain if not properly supported overtime.

Side sleepers (the best way to sleep…according to doctors) need support, but can also have some plush forgiveness underneath. Your spine and hips align to the mattresses shape, along with the natural contour of your body. A pillow between the legs is recommended for optimum spine support, regardless of your mattress. You don’t want to buy a mattress too soft, but you also don’t want to buy one too firm or your arms will fall asleep. A luxury firm mattress works best overall for side sleepers.

Stomach sleepers are like back sleepers… they need support. Think about it like this, your spine is meant to bend frontwards not backwards. You don’t want to bend the opposite way of the natural flexibility you have in your spine.

If you don’t sleep, something is seriously wrong with you and we suggest you go to a doctor immediately. The body needs sleep to recover and recharge!

Do you ever see weight lifters standing on pillows while they work out?To be short the answer is no, they stand on a strong supportive platform. Weight is another big deciding factor when it comes to choosing a mattress.

If you are tiny, then you’re lucky. You can save money and shop for a softer smaller mattress.

If you are an average size and weight then you want to look for something soft, but supportive. A medium plush or luxury firm should work best for your body type. If you buy a good quality mattress, it should last 12+ years with no issues.

If you are a larger person, support means everything. We spend 1/3 of our lives in bed, so make sure it’s worth it. A luxury firm mattress is ideal for you and can give you the support you need, while still providing comfort that will last.

Choose a mattress company that stands behind their bed, that way you can always get your money back if you don’t love it.
